 1933 Lagonda 16/80 Low Chassis

Registration Number: AUC 110

Chassis Number: S10501

Engine Number: S2250                                              £29,995

The Lagonda 16/80 was introduced in 1932, replacing the company’s 4 cylinder 2 litre model. The first part of its name referred to its fiscal horsepower rating of 16 (actually 15.7). Under naming conventions common at the time the second number in its name might have referred to the cars bhp. However actual power output fell a long way short of 80 bhp, leading many to think it may have referred to the cars claimed top speed of 80 mph. The car was unusual in being the only Lagonda to be offered with a Crossley engine. However, each engine purchased was stripped down by Lagonda, examined and weighed before being re-assembled and bench run prior to fitment to the chassis. The Lagonda engineers extracted more power from these engines as well as improving the cooling and breathing qualities and issue each unit with a nine year guarantee. Available with saloon and touring bodies, the 16/80 could be ordered with conventional four speed manual or ENV pre-selector gearbox, enabling swift and easy changes.

Approximately 260 were made, around half of which are believed to survive. The car was dropped by Lagonda shortly before the firm’s dramatic rescue from financial collapse by Alan Good at the end of 1934. This car, produced in 1933, sports original pillerless saloon coachwork and is consigned by the family of the owner, who had owned the car for the last fifty years. It was used as everyday transport for many years until it was felt that the car deserved a facelift and was therefore taken off the road in 1978, the last tax disc was still displayed in the windscreen. The owner embarked on a full rebuild over the past thirty years but sadly did not complete the task. We have been advised that he finished the mechanicals and the engine runs well and the car drives. It appears that a couple of doors have been re-skinned, the body is still in red primer, with the upper half leather covered. Much of the original cream leather is present, but detached and most of the interior fittings are with the car. The dashboard is complete with full set of instruments and cigar lighter. This is an exciting discovery and opportunity to complete a car that deserves a return to the road

                                                                   1940 Allard M Type

Chassis Number 872 81M                                  £14,995

This car was a restoration project which unfortunately, was not completed. The work to date is to a high standard and most of the difficult parts have been completed.

The chassis has been overhauled with the body spacers, all wooden body is in first class order, but the steel body panels are in need of some re-work. The V8 engine is in good order and the transmission looks to have been overhauled. The car has been rewired with period wiring, all the instruments have beed over-hauled and re-calibrated, the wood dash has been re-furbished, new hood frame. All parts are with the car including interior trim and front grills.

Bentley Park Ward Drophead 4 1/4 Litre

Chassis Number: B246GA                                                                      £59,500

Registration Number: CYE 309

Mileage: 48,500 miles

Derby Bentley Drophead Coupe with a Park Ward Body is a stunning looking motor car. The car was once owned by Sir Stanley White Chairman of the Bristol Aircraft Co, then a Bentley Owners Club member for over 40 years, he changed the colour just for a wedding in 1971. The car has only covered 48,500 miles and has been paint stripped and the body dismantled for bodywork repairs. The last MOT was carried out in 2007.

                                                   1963 Bentley Saloon S3

1963 Bentley Saloon S3

Registration Number: 918 MUY

Chassis Number: B118DF

Mileage: 32626                                                                                  £12,000

This good looking Bentley S3 has only three owners and covered a genuine 32626 miles.  The car was subject to an engine problem following not being un-used for a while back in 1976. The engine was dismantled for investigation and left, until now the car had not been moved. The exterior requires some attention, but the tan interior is a typical 32,000 Bentley very tidy. The engine will need further investigation to identify the course of the original concern, but there is nothing visible obvious.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone to roll up the sleeves and own a gracious true British Bentley S3 for not a lot of money.
