Bentley S2 Continental Drophead Copue (Left Hand Drive)

The Convertible Continental by Park Ward in the design of the Norwegian Vilhelm Koren enjoys the sensual curving lines. Only 125 S 2 Continental "Koren" were built. Our car is an original LHD with air conditioning. The car comes straight from a full restoration. Who knows the structure of such hand-made convertibles can appreciate the effort that we have achieved here.

Bentley Saloon 1967

.JPG)
Bentley 1967 POA
Chassis Number CBH1973
Engine Number 1973
CBH1973 and one of 75 RHD Bentleys built that were called two door saloons (the RR had not been called the Corniche at this stage nor had the Bentley been called the Continental. So the correct designation is 2 door saloons although some people often attach Corniche labels to them. There were another 23 LHD models built so that the entire run (1966 – 1971) was 98, so to have one of the 75 is quite a rarity.
The engine has just been refurbished and is sparkling with all the appropriate bits painted or plated as original. The interior is spotless and the exterior has some small stone chips. The car regularly won first prize in its class at the Texas RROC.
The car drives well and the self levelling suspension works perfectly, having been refurbished in 2010. The tyres are new (spare also) and all the tools, and road tools (jack etc) are present.
The car come with a good history and presented to the highest level.

Bentley Continental S2 Flying Spur

Bentley S2 Continental 4 Door Flying Spur
Registration Number: 693 BYV
Chassis Number: BC63AR
Engine Number: A62BC
Year of Manufacture: 1960
One of the most successful and highly regarded of the Bentley body styles fitted to S types, was the 4 door Flying Spur by H.J. Mulliner. This six light design must count as one of the most handsome large saloons ever produced. The S2 is especially significant in really being the final opportunity for coach builders to show their full creative ability; it has elegant and sporting lines, retaining a timeless appeal, without compromising the all important formality required of such a limousine.
Power was, by tradition, never disclosed by the factory but it was thought to be around 200bhp which resulted in a fast and handsome touring motor car for four people plus luggage. Many consider the S2 to be the best of the S series, its performance and flexibility being superior to the S1 without the added weight of the S3.
This 1960’s example is believed to have been ordered towards the end of 1959 on behalf of Sir Duncan Orr-Lewis, who previously owned a S1 Continental. Service records for November 1961 to July 1962 show the car was in the care of Jack Barclay and the ownership of Maxwell Joseph of Clarges Street Mayfair, chairman of Grand Metropolitan and owner of some of the best hotels in Paris, it is believed the car was used by Joseph regularly on the continent. In 1974 records show the Bentley was in the ownership of Harold Garratt who used the car for regular holidays in Yorkshire and Scotland, as well as trips to international rugby matches at Twickenham where it was always parked in the west car park. From 1992 until his death in 2004the Continental was stored in the garage at his family house. In 2005 the car was re-commissioned by the family at a cost of close to £20,000, the invoices for which, from a Bentley specialist. The car is now in good condition and finished in grey with red leather hide interior. A Very good looking motor car, sound and most useable Bentley.

Rolls Royce Silver Spur Centenary

Registration Number: C61 BYL POA
Chassis Number: 14018
Number 18 of 25
Rolls Royce Silver Spur Centenary
First owned by Earl Spencer
1985 was the year in which England celebrated 100 years of motoring. It was the year too, when the 100,000th motor car having been finished by Rolls-Royce was celebrated by the manufacturer. All the Derby- and Crewe-built Bentleys were included in the production figure 100,000. It was but appropriate that the company intended to use the Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Centenary side by side with the other ambassadors of British engineering at its best: the original 1907 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and the little 1905 Rolls-Royce 10hp. A limited series of 25 identical cars, equally lavishly equipped with not even silver decanters spared, were eagerly snapped up by collectors worldwide. This Rolls Royce Silver Spur Centenary was first owned by Edward the eighth Earl Spencer and father of Princess Diana. The car was bought by John Poynter after Earls Spencers death, which he used following a life long dream to own a special Rolls Royce. The car was then sold on to another enthusiast for the Rolls Royce marque.
